Jay McWilliam (Stranraer, SCO) finished 6-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McWilliam defeated Alexander Christie (Perth, SCO) 5-4, then won 6-0 against Kyle Smith (Perth, SCO) and 7-3 against David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO). McWilliam went on to lose 7-6 against David Smith (Perth, SCO). McWilliam lost 9-4 to Lee McCleary (Kinross, SCO) where McWilliam responded with a 9-2 win over Keith MacLennan (Perth, SCO). McWilliam won 7-3 against Paul Stevenson (Edinburgh, SCO), then won 7-2 against Craig Reid (Galleon, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
