Pottinger finished 8-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Pottinger defeated Aileen Sormunen (Duluth, MN) 12-2, then won 10-4 against Maureen Stolt (St. Paul, MN) and 10-5 against Alexandra Carlson (Wayzata, MN). Pottinger went on to lose 7-6 against Potter. Pottinger responded with a 5-3 win over Patti Lank (Lewiston, NY). Pottinger won 8-5 against Janice Langanke (Middletown, NJ), then won 10-5 against Kimberly Wapola (St. Paul, MN) and 7-3 against Erika Brown (Madison, WI). Pottinger won 8-0 against Becca Hamilton (McFarland, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the US Curling Nationals Championship title, Pottinger earned 11.250 world rankings points, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 50th place overall with 34.075 total points. Pottinger ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.075 points earned so far this season.
