McCormick finished 10-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McCormick defeated Mike Farbelow (Minneapolis, MN) 9-2, then won 8-6 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN) and 7-6 against Tyler George (Duluth, MN). McCormick won 7-3 against Owen Sampson (Edmore, ND), then won 7-6 against Fenson and 8-6 against Brady Clark (Lynnwood, WA). McCormick won 7-6 against Blake Morton (McFarland, WI), then won 8-7 against Craig Brown (Madison, WI) and 9-0 against Eric Fenson (Bemidji, MN). McCormick won 12-9 against Todd Birr (Mankato, MN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the US Curling Nationals Championship title, McCormick earned 11.250 world rankings points, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 59th place overall with 38.470 total points. McCormick ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 24.100 points earned so far this season.
