Fenson finished 9-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fenson defeated Eric Fenson (Bemidji, MN) 9-3, then won 7-2 against Brady Clark (Lynnwood, WA) and 7-4 against Blake Morton (McFarland, WI). Fenson won 8-5 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN). Fenson went on to lose 7-6 against McCormick. Fenson responded with a 9-4 win over Todd Birr (Mankato, MN). Fenson won 6-3 against Craig Brown (Madison, WI), then won 7-4 against Mike Farbelow (Minneapolis, MN) and 6-4 against Tyler George (Duluth, MN). Fenson won 7-3 against Owen Sampson (Edmore, ND) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the US Curling Nationals, Fenson take home 8.750 world rankings points, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 35th place overall with 67.370 total points. Fenson ranks 56th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.150 points earned so far this season.
