Smith-Dacey lost 10-3 to Tracy Horgan (Sudbury, ON) where Smith-Dacey responded with a 10-4 win over Marie-France Larouche (Quebec, PQ). Smith-Dacey won 8-7 against Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC). Smith-Dacey went on to lose 8-3 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB). Smith-Dacey lost 8-4 to Rebecca Atkinson (Oromocto, NB) where Smith-Dacey responded with a 7-6 win over Amber Holland (Kronau, CAN). Smith-Dacey won 7-6 against Kim Dolan (Charlottetown, PEI). Smith-Dacey went on to lose 10-5 against Heather Strong (St. John's, NL). Smith-Dacey lost 7-6 to Heather Nedohin (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Smith-Dacey earned 8.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, Smith-Dacey did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Smith-Dacey ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
