Howard finished 10-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Howard defeated Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA) 7-5, then won 9-2 against Johnny Jahr (Fuessen, GER) and 8-7 against Heath McCormick (New York, USA). Howard won 8-3 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR), then won 9-3 against Jiri Snitil (Brno, CZE) and 7-6 against Jan Hauser (GC R+B, SUI). Howard won 8-5 against Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidore, DEN), then won 10-6 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) and 7-5 against Brewster. Howard went on to lose 9-7 against Peter De Boer (Naseby, NZL). Howard responded with a 8-7 win over Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the World Men's Curling Championship Championship title, Howard earned 45.000 world rankings points. For week 34 of the event schedule, Howard did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Howard ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
