In their opening game, Gaudet lost 8-4 to Scott Manners (Battleford, SK), droppimg another game, 10-4 to Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS). Gaudet lost 8-7 to Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste. Marie, NONT). Gaudet lost 8-3 to Rob Fowler (Brandon, MB). Gaudet lost 8-2 to Kevin Koe (Calgary, AB) where Gaudet responded with a 8-6 win over Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB). Gaudet won 9-6 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, Y/NWT). Gaudet went on to lose 10-5 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON). Gaudet responded with a 7-5 win over Jim Cotter (Kelowna, BC). Gaudet went on to lose 10-8 against Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, PQ). Gaudet lost 10-5 to Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

Gaudet earned 6.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 30 of the event schedule, Gaudet did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gaudet ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
