McGuire responded with a 7-3 win over Sandy Comeau (Moncton, NB). McGuire won 6-5 against Kelly in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the New Brunswick Scotties, McGuire take home 2.500 world rankings points, moving up 60 spots the World Ranking Standings into 144th place overall with 4.153 total points.
