Carey won 9-2 against Lisa Menard (Dauphin, MB). Carey went on to lose 6-5 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB). Carey responded with a 7-5 win over Cathy Overton-Clapham (Winnipeg, MB). Carey went on to lose 11-8 against Michelle Montford (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
