Kelly Scott (Kelowna, BC) won 6-5 over Marla Mallett (New Westminster, BC) in the Final of the BC Scotties, held January 23 - 29, 2012 in North Vancouver, British Columbia.
Scott finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scott defeated Nicole Backe (Vancouver, BC) 9-5, then won 5-3 against Roselyn Craig (Duncan, BC) and 10-5 against Kelley Law (New Westminster, BC). Scott won 7-6 against Mallett, then won 6-5 against Kelly Thompson (Richmond, BC) and 5-3 against Jen Rusnell (Prince George, BC). Scott went on to lose 7-6 against Marilou Richter (Richmond, BC). Scott lost 8-6 to Allison MacInnes (Kamloops, BC) where Scott responded with a 7-5 win over Brenda Garvey (Prince George, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the BC Scotties Championship title, Scott earned 4.000 world rankings points, remaining in 22nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 87.389 total points. Scott ranks 25th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 35.091 points earned so far this season.
