In their opening game, Ely defeated Rane Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) 13-1, then won 15-1 against Christine McMakin (Potomac, MD) and 11-5 against Kayla Martin (Utica, NY). Ely went on to lose 6-1 against Emily Walker (Wayland, MA). Ely responded with a 11-8 win over Sarah Anderson (Philadelphia, PA) in their final qualifying round match.
