Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin lost 7-5 to Germany's Christopher Bartsch, then responded with a 8-2 win over Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA). Edin won 8-3 against Rasmus Stjerne (Hvidovre, DEN), then won 9-4 against Joel Retornaz (Cortina, ITA) and 6-5 against Ritvars Gulbis (Riga, LAT). Edin won 8-7 against Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI), then won 9-8 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Edin went on to lose 6-4 against Jiri Snitil (Prague, CZE). Edin lost 9-3 to David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, Edin take home 35.000 world rankings points. For week 17 of the event schedule, Edin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Edin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
