Josh Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) qualified for the 2012 Whites Drug Store Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-5 against Terry McNamee (Brandon, MB). of the 2012 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba, Canada;

Heidt finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heidt defeated Rob Van Kommer (Carberry, MB) 7-4, then went on to lose 6-3 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Heidt responded with a 6-4 win over Sam Antila (Thompson, MB). Heidt went on to lose 5-4 against Scott Manners (North Battleford, SK). Heidt responded with a 8-2 win over Sven Michel (Adelboden, SUI). Heidt won 6-1 against Scott Madams (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Heidt earned 10.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Whites Drug Store Classic, moving up 28 spots the World Ranking Standings into 61st place overall with 24.732 total points. Heidt ranks 51st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.200 points earned so far this season.
