Jeff Hartung (Langenburg, SK) qualified for the 2012 Whites Drug Store Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Jim Cotter (Kelowna/Vernon, BC). of the 2012 Whites Drug Store Classic in Swan River, Manitoba, Canada;

Hartung finished 5-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hartung defeated Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) 6-1, then went on to lose 6-5 against Jeff Stoughton (winnipeg, MB). Hartung responded with a 6-3 win over John Shuster (Duluth, MN). Hartung won 7-3 against Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-3 against Stoughton and 6-2 against Grassie in their final qualifying round match.

Hartung earned 10.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Whites Drug Store Classic, moving up 74 spots the World Ranking Standings into 89th place overall with 15.177 total points. Hartung ranks 60th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.125 points earned so far this season.
