Jill Thurston (Winnipeg, MB) run at the 2011 MCT Championships came to an end in the semifinals with a 6-5 loss to Chelsea Carey (Morden, MB). of the 2011 MCT Championships in Morris, Manitoba; Thurston advanced through the quarterfinals with a 7-4 win over Barb Spencer (Winnipeg, MB). of the 2011 MCT Championships in Morris, Manitoba;

Thurston responded with a 7-6 win over Michelle Montford (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Thurston earned 6.405 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the MCT Championships, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 32nd place overall with 47.772 total points. Thurston ranks 39th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 17.230 points earned so far this season.
