In their opening game, Backe defeated Roselyn Craig (Duncan, BC) 7-6, then won 7-5 against British Columbia's LeAnne Andrews and 4-1 against Olga Zyablikova (Moscow, RUS). Backe went on to lose 11-4 against Kristy Lewis (Vancouver, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Backe earned 0.840 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Cloverdale Cash Spiel. For week 5 of the event schedule, Backe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Backe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
