To advance to the championship game, Gedak won 6-1 over Rob Van Kommer (Carberry, MB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Classic in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada; and won 5-3 over Randy Bryden (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Classic in Dauphin, Manitoba, Canada;
Gedak finished 5-2 in the 31-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gedak lost 9-6 to Cory Zdan (Winnipeg, MB), then responded with a 8-2 win over Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB). Gedak won 6-4 against Steve Petryk (Calgary, AB), then won 11-6 against Manitoba's Joey Witherspoon. Gedak went on to lose 7-1 against Jared Kolomaya (Stonewall, MB). Gedak responded with a 8-7 win over Kelly Robertson (Neepawa, MB). Gedak won 8-3 against Petryk in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy Classic Championship title, Gedak earned 7.400 world rankings points along with the $8,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 30 spots the World Ranking Standings into 103rd place overall with 16.520 total points. Gedak ranks 93rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.400 points earned so far this season.
