To advance to the championship game, Epp won 5-3 over Sean Beighton (Seattle, WA) in the semifinals of the 2011 Seattle Cash Spiel in Seattle, Washington; and won 6-5 over Chris Pleasants (Seattle, WA) in the quarterfinals.
Epp finished 3-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Epp lost 8-3 to Bob Knievel (Seattle, WA), then responded with a 7-6 win over Wes Johnson (Seattle, WA). Epp won 8-6 against Beighton. Epp went on to lose 6-3 against Tom Violette (Seattle, WA). Epp responded with a 9-8 win over Dave Manser (Lethbridge, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Seattle Cash Spiel, Epp take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $2,073CDN prize, moving up 57 spots the World Ranking Standings into 212th place overall with 3.425 total points. Epp ranks 164th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 2.150 points earned so far this season.
