To advance to the championship game, Wakefield won 8-7 over Doug Kauffman (Seattle, WA) in the semifinals of the 2011 Seattle Cash Spiel in Seattle, Washington; and won 6-0 over Wes Johnson (Seattle, WA) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Seattle Cash Spiel in Seattle, Washington;
 
Wakefield finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wakefield defeated Wayne Harris (Comox Valley, BC) 7-3, then won 7-1 against Wes Craig (Victoria, BC) and 6-3 against Tom Violette (Seattle, WA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Seattle Cash Spiel Championship title, Wakefield earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $3,110CDN first prize cheque, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 129th place overall with 10.029 total points. Wakefield ranks 101st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 6.114 points earned so far this season.
