Marla Mallett (New Westminster, BC) qualified for the 2011 Vancouver Island Shootout playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-2 against Sheri Pickering (Calgary, AB). of the 2011 Vancouver Island Shootout in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada;

Mallett finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Mallett defeated Brandi Tinkler (Victoria, BC) 9-3, then won 6-3 against Kesa Van Osch (Victoria, BC). Mallett went on to lose 4-3 against Roselyn Craig (Duncan, BC). Mallett responded with a 6-1 win over Penny Shantz (Vancouver, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
