Jay Tuson (Victoria, BC) finished 2-3 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tuson lost 8-3 to Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC), droppimg another game, 6-3 to Bryan Miki (New Westminster, BC) where Tuson responded with a 8-2 win over Sebastien Robillard (Vancouver, BC). Tuson won 5-2 against Wes Johnson (Seattle, WA). Tuson went on to lose 9-7 against Miki in their final qualifying round match.
