Middaugh finished 4-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh lost 7-6 to Deanna Doig (Regina, SK), then responded with a 7-4 win over Brandee Borne (Saskatoon, SK). Middaugh won 6-5 against Erika Brown (Madison, WI), then won 6-5 against Jill Thurston (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-4 against Saskatchewan's Diane Foster in their final qualifying round match.
 
Middaugh earned 10.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Schmirler Curling Classic, remaining in 9th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 100.715 total points. Middaugh ranks 2nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.425 points earned so far this season.
