Chelsea Carey (Morden, MB) qualified for the 2011 Schmirler Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB).

Carey finished 4-1 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Carey defeated Brooklyn Lemon (Saskatoon, SK) 5-3, then won 7-1 against Saskatchewan's Sherrilee Orsted and 5-4 against Janet Harvey (Winnipeg, MB). Carey won 5-4 against Desiree Owen (Grande Prairie, AB). Carey went on to lose 6-1 against Michelle Englot (Regina, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Carey earned 10.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Schmirler Curling Classic, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 2nd place overall with 176.515 total points. Carey ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.245 points earned so far this season.
