Jenn Hanna (Ottawa, ON) won 5-3 over Laura Payne (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Mac Ice Classic, held October 5 - 10, 2011 in Ottawa, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Hanna won 5-4 over Kimberly Mastine (Montreal, PQ) in the semifinals of the 2011 Mac Ice Classic in Ottawa, Ontario;
Hanna finished 5-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hanna defeated Jamie Sinclair (Manotick, ON) 10-1, then won 8-3 against Joyce Potter (Ottawa, ON) and 5-4 against Payne. Hanna won 7-3 against Jennifer Harvey (Ottawa, ON), then won 8-3 against Cheryl McBain (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Mac Ice Classic Championship title, Hanna earned 2.500 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 8 of the event schedule, Hanna did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Hanna ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
