Payne went on to lose 5-4 against Hanna. Payne lost 9-2 to Jamie Sinclair (Manotick, ON) where Payne responded with a 7-5 win over Jennifer Harvey (Ottawa, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Mac Ice Classic, Payne take home 1.750 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize, moving up 150 spots the World Ranking Standings into 174th place overall with 1.750 total points. Payne ranks 65th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.750 points earned so far this season.
