To advance to the championship game, Lyburn won 7-4 over Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Interlake Pharmacy Classic in Stonewall, Manitoba; and won 4-3 over David Bohn (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Interlake Pharmacy Classic in Stonewall, Manitoba;
Lyburn finished 4-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lyburn defeated Ron Gauthier (Winnipeg, MB) 7-0, then won 6-2 against Dave Elias (Winnipeg, MB). Lyburn went on to lose 6-4 against Stoughton. Lyburn responded with a 9-3 win over Richard Muntain (Pinawa, MB). Lyburn went on to lose 5-4 against Galbraith. Lyburn responded with a 7-4 win over Elias in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Interlake Pharmacy Classic Championship title, Lyburn earned 6.100 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 8 spots the World Ranking Standings into 59th place overall with 32.853 total points. Lyburn ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 16.665 points earned so far this season.
