To advance to the championship game, Scotland's Sandy Reid won 7-1 over Logan Gray (Stirling, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2011 Edinburgh International in Edinburgh, Scotland, Scotland; and won 6-2 over Joel Retornaz (Cortina, ITA) in the quarterfinals.
 
Scotland's Sandy Reid finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scotland's Sandy Reid lost 8-2 to Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR), then responded with a 5-1 win over Jay McWilliam (Edinburgh, SCO). Scotland's Sandy Reid won 7-3 against Scotland's Lee McCleary, then won 8-2 against Italy's Marco Pascale and 7-6 against Switzerland's Pascal Hess in their final qualifying round match.
