Deborah Brown (Islington, ON) finished 7-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Brown defeated
Quebec's Diane Grafton 10-1, then won 8-4 against Brenda Forner (Richardson, SK). Brown went on to lose 9-2 against Nova Scotia's Colleen Jones. Brown responded with a 8-7 win over New Brunswick's Denise Lavigne. Brown won 7-6 against Prince Edward Island's Joanne MacMillan, then won 9-7 against Manitoba's Patti Vanderkerckhove and 8-3 against British Columbia's Donna Robertson. Brown went on to lose 7-6 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Laura Phillips. Brown lost 7-6 to Sandra Cusick (Dawson City, Y/NWT) where Brown responded with a 6-4 win over Alberta's Cathy King in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week of the event schedule, Brown did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Brown ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
