Clifford finished 5-2 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Clifford defeated Brian Adams Jr. (Thunder Bay, NONT) 5-4, then went on to lose 6-5 against Minnesota's Tyler George. Clifford responded with a 4-3 win over Jordan Potter (Thunder Bay, ON). Clifford won 10-8 against Mike Pozihun (thundwer bay, NONT). Clifford went on to lose 7-1 against Brennan Wark (Thunder Bay, ON). Clifford responded with a 9-5 win over Minnesota's John Shuster. Clifford won 7-6 against Adams Jr. in their final qualifying round match.
 
Clifford earned 1.275 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Courtesy Freight Northern Ontario Superspiel, moving up 54 spots the World Ranking Standings into 248th place overall with 2.025 total points. Clifford ranks 164th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 1.275 points earned so far this season.
