Brett Gallant (Charlottetown, PEI) won 5-4 over Brad Gushue (St. John's, NL) in the Final of the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix, held November 24 - 27, 2011 in Clermont, Quebec. To advance to the championship game, Gallant won 10-4 over Pierre Charette (Saguenay, PQ) in the semifinals of the 2011 Challenge Casino de Charlevoix in Clermont, Quebec; and won 7-1 over Switzerland's Peter de Cruz in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Challenge Casino de Charlevoix in Clermont, Quebec;
Gallant finished 5-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gallant defeated Don Westphal (Thurso, PQ) 5-4, then went on to lose 8-6 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Gallant responded with a 5-4 win over Chad Stevens (Dartmouth/Chester, NS). Gallant went on to lose 6-5 against Switzerland's Peter de Cruz. Gallant responded with a 6-1 win over Steve Lodge (Brockville, ON). Gallant won 7-6 against Philippe Lemay (Trois-Rivieres, PQ), then won 8-3 against Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Challenge Casino de Charlevoix Championship title, Gallant earned 19.380 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 15 of the event schedule, Gallant did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Gallant ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
