Herbert finished 3-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Herbert lost 4-2 to Brent Goeres (Regina, SK), then responded with a 5-2 win over Matt Willerton (Edmonton, AB). Herbert went on to lose 5-3 against Al Schick (Regina, SK). Herbert responded with a 3-2 win over Jason Krupski (Whitewood, SK). Herbert won 1-0 against Randy Woytowich (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic, Herbert take home 3.675 world rankings points along with the $2,700CDN prize, moving up 47 spots the World Ranking Standings into 140th place overall with 6.693 total points. Herbert ranks 61st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.675 points earned so far this season.
