To advance to the championship game, Horgan won 6-5 over Kirsten Wall (Toronto, ON) in the semifinals of the 2011 Guelph Womens Cashspiel in Guelph, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-2 over Kathy Brown (Guelph, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Guelph Womens Cashspiel in Guelph, Ontario, Canada;
 
Horgan finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Horgan defeated Courtney Hodgson (Guelph, ON) 8-1, then won 7-3 against Kelly Cochrane (Toronto, ON) and 8-2 against Cheryl McBain (Ottawa, ON). Horgan won 7-6 against McGhee in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Guelph Womens Cashspiel, Horgan take home 3.675 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN prize, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 27th place overall with 47.915 total points. Horgan ranks 45th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.475 points earned so far this season.
