Advancing directly to the semifinals, Birt won 6-5 over Sarah Reid (Glasgow, SCO) to advance to the championship game. of the 2011 Southwestern Ontario Womens Charity Cashspiel in London, Ontario; of the 2011 Southwestern Ontario Womens Charity Cashspiel in London, Ontario;
 
Birt finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Birt defeated Marika Bakewell (London, ON) 8-6, then won 6-2 against Julie Reddick (Toronto, ON) and 8-3 against Reid in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Southwestern Ontario Womens Charity Cashspiel, Birt take home 8.120 world rankings points along with the $5,000CDN prize, moving up 14 spots the World Ranking Standings into 41st place overall with 28.820 total points. Birt ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.120 points earned so far this season.
