Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) won 8-3 over Erika Brown (Madison, WI) in the Final of the Sun Life Classic, held November 18 - 21, 2011 in Brantford, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Middaugh won 8-4 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2011 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario; and won 7-3 over Laura Crocker (Waterloo, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2011 Sun Life Classic in Brantford, Ontario;
 
Middaugh finished 4-0 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Marie-France Larouche (Levis, PQ) 5-4, then won 7-5 against Cheryl Bernard (Calgary, AB) and 6-2 against Julie Hastings (Thornhill, ON). Middaugh won 8-7 against Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Sun Life Classic Championship title, Middaugh earned 40.000 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 7th place overall with 180.465 total points. Middaugh ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 110.175 points earned so far this season.
