Tuck Jr. finished 5-1 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tuck Jr. lost 7-6 to Tom Worth (Mississauga, ON), then responded with a 8-2 win over Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON). Tuck Jr. won 7-5 against Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN), then won 7-1 against Dave Pallen (St. Catharines, ON) and 7-2 against Heath McCormick (New York, NY). Tuck Jr. won 6-4 against Ontario's Rob Lobel in their final qualifying round match.
