Wayne Tuck Jr. (Toronto, ON) lost 6-2 to Ontario's Peter Corner in the Final of the Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic, held October 27 - 30, 2011 at the Whitby Curling Club in Whitby, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Tuck Jr. won 6-1 over Cory Heggestad (Barrie, ON) in the semifinals   of the 2011 Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic in Whitby, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-2 over Greg Richardson (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2011 Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic in Whitby, Ontario, Canada; 
 
Tuck Jr. finished 5-1 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tuck Jr. lost 7-6 to Tom Worth (Mississauga, ON), then responded with a 8-2 win over Jon St. Denis (Stouffville, ON). Tuck Jr. won 7-5 against Pete Fenson (Bemidji, MN), then won 7-1 against Dave Pallen (St. Catharines, ON) and 7-2 against Heath McCormick (New York, NY). Tuck Jr. won 6-4 against Ontario's Rob Lobel in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic, Tuck Jr. take home 10.675 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN prize, moving up 7 spots the World Ranking Standings into 31st place overall with 57.210 total points. Tuck Jr. ranks 44th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 14.280 points earned so far this season.
