Rumfeldt finished 4-1 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rumfeldt defeated Brian Damon (Schenectady , NY) 5-1, then won 8-0 against Dave Pallen (St. Catharines, ON). Rumfeldt went on to lose 5-2 against Cory Heggestad (Barrie, ON). Rumfeldt responded with a 5-3 win over Guy Hemmings (Montreal, PQ). Rumfeldt won 8-5 against Denis Belanger (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Rumfeldt earned 4.575 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Mount Lawn Gord Carroll Classic, remaining in 22nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 81.192 total points. Rumfeldt ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 67.490 points earned so far this season.
