Andrea Schopp (Garmisch-Partenkirchen, GER) won 8-6 over Eve Muirhead (Pitlochry, SCO) in the Final of the Ford World Womens Curling Championship, held March 20 - 28, 2010 in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.
 
Schopp finished 8-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Schopp defeated Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) 8-6, then won 9-6 against Muirhead. Schopp went on to lose 10-3 against Angelina Jensen (Taarnby, DEN). Schopp lost 12-8 to Erika Brown (Madison, WI) where Schopp responded with a 10-4 win over Linn Githmark (Oslo, NOR). Schopp won 9-2 against Cissi Ostlund (Karlstad, SWE). Schopp went on to lose 7-4 against Liudmilla Privivkova (Moscow, RUS). Schopp responded with a 8-7 win over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN). Schopp won 7-5 against Moe Meguro (Aomori, JPN), then won 4-2 against Iveta Stasa-Sarsune (Jelgava, LAT) and 8-2 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week of the event schedule, Schopp did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Schopp ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
