Dufour lost 7-5 to Pete Fenson (Bemidji, USA) where Dufour responded with a 9-4 win over Fengchun Wang (Harbin, CHN). Dufour went on to lose 7-1 against Kevin Koe (Edmonton, CAN). Dufour responded with a 7-4 win over Japan's Makato Tsuruga. Dufour went on to lose 9-8 against Italy's Joel Retornaz. Dufour lost 6-4 to Denmark's Ulrik Schmidt in their final qualifying round match.
