Thomas Dufour (Chamonix, FRA) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Dufour finished 7-4 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dufour defeated Czech Republic's Jiri Snitil 9-5, then won 8-2 against Korea's Dong-Keun Lee. Dufour went on to lose 7-6 against Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE). Dufour responded with a 8-5 win over Denmark's Tommy Stjerne. Dufour won 6-5 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR). Dufour went on to lose 11-5 against Jeff Stoughton (Winnipeg, CAN). Dufour responded with a 10-3 win over Luan Chen (Harbin, CHN). Dufour won 8-7 against Switzerland's Christof Schwaller. Dufour went on to lose 6-5 against Germany's Andy Kapp. Dufour lost 6-1 to Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO) where Dufour responded with a 9-7 win over Pete Fenson (Bemidji, USA) in their final qualifying round match.

Dufour earned 14.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 31 of the event schedule, Dufour did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dufour ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
