Patti Lank (Lewiston, USA) 5-3, then went on to lose 10-7 against Germany's Andrea Schopp. Ott responded with a 9-3 win over Czech Republic's Anna Kubeskova. Ott won 8-6 against Korea's Ji-Sun Kim. Ott went on to lose 6-3 against Denmark's Lene Nielsen. Ott responded with a 9-7 win over Russia's Liudmilla Privivkova. Ott won 7-6 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN). Ott went on to lose 9-8 against Sweden's Anette Norberg. Ott lost 7-4 to Amber Holland (Kronau, CAN) where Ott responded with a 9-3 win over Anna Sloan (Lockerbie, SCO). Ott won 7-4 against Norway's Linn Githmark in their final qualifying round match.
 
Ott earned 14.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, remaining in 5th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 6.56 after improving upon their best so far this season.
