CHAMPION: Sweden's Anette Norberg Wins 2011 Capital One World Womens Curling Championship

Sweden's Anette Norberg won 7-5 over Amber Holland (Kronau, CAN) in the Final of the Capital One World Womens Curling Championship, held March 18 - 27, 2011 in Esbjerg, Denmark.
 
Sweden's Anette Norberg finished 9-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sweden's Anette Norberg lost 8-7 to Norway's Linn Githmark, then responded with a 8-4 win over Russia's Liudmilla Privivkova. Sweden's Anette Norberg won 5-3 against Anna Sloan (Lockerbie, SCO), then won 7-5 against Bingyu Wang (Harbin, CHN) and 10-7 against Korea's Ji-Sun Kim. Sweden's Anette Norberg won 8-3 against Denmark's Lene Nielsen, then won 7-5 against Germany's Andrea Schopp and 9-8 against Mirjam Ott (Davos, SUI). Sweden's Anette Norberg won 5-4 against Holland, then won 7-6 against Czech Republic's Anna Kubeskova. Sweden's Anette Norberg went on to lose 8-3 against Patti Lank (Lewiston, USA) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Capital One World Womens Curling Championship Championship title, Sweden's Anette Norberg earned 45.000 world rankings points, moving up 9 spots the World Ranking Standings into 18th place overall with 113.928 total points.
