In their opening game, Scharf defeated David MacInnes (Englehart, NONT) 8-4, then won 8-1 against John Salo (Geraldton, NONT) and 7-4 against Mike Jakubo (Copper Cliff, NONT). Scharf won 7-5 against Mike Pozihun (Thunder Bay, NONT), then won 9-6 against Mike Assad (Thunder Bay, NONT) and 8-6 against Tim Nordin (Stratton, NONT). Scharf won 5-3 against Jacobs. Scharf went on to lose 5-4 against Robbie Gordon (Sudbury, NONT). Scharf lost 9-3 to Jeff Currie (Thunder Bay, NONT) where Scharf responded with a 6-3 win over Dustin Montpellier (North Bay, NONT). Scharf won 7-4 against Bryan Burgess (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the The Dominion Northern Ontario Mens Provincials, Scharf take home 2.500 world rankings points, moving up 26 spots the World Ranking Standings into 203rd place overall with 7.500 total points. Scharf ranks 161st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 5.500 points earned so far this season.
