Currie lost 8-5 to Robbie Gordon (Sudbury, NONT) where Currie responded with a 9-3 win over Joe Scharf (Thunder Bay, ON). Currie went on to lose 8-4 against Mike Assad (Thunder Bay, NONT). Currie responded with a 7-5 win over Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
