To advance to the championship game, Owen won 5-4 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2010 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic in Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and won 7-1 over Heather Rankin (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic in Calgary, Alberta, Canada;
Owen finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Owen defeated Cathy Overton-Clapham (Winnipeg, MB) 5-3, then went on to lose 9-5 against Eve Muirhead (Stirling, SCO). Owen responded with a 5-3 win over British Columbia's Adina Tasaka. Owen won 6-4 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB), then won 5-1 against Allison Pottinger (Bemidji, MN) and 5-3 against Stefanie Lawton (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Curlers Corner Autumn Gold Curling Classic, Owen take home 27.000 world rankings points along with the $11,000CDN prize, moving up 17 spots the World Ranking Standings into 23rd place overall with 58.104 total points. Owen ranks 5th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.680 points earned so far this season.
