Jill Thurston (Winnipeg, MB) qualified for the 2010 Schmirler Curling Classic presented by Bank of America playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-3 against Lisa Eyamie (Calgary, AB). of the 2010 Schmirler Curling Classic presented by Bank of America in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada;

Thurston finished 5-0 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thurston defeated Kathy O'Rourke (Charlottetown, PEI) 8-2, then won 9-3 against Erika Brown (Madison, WI) and 5-4 against Crystal Webster (Calgary, AB). Thurston won 10-5 against Saskatchewan's Heather Burnett, then won 5-3 against Trish Paulsen (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Thurston earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Schmirler Curling Classic presented by Bank of America. For week 3 of the event schedule, Thurston did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Thurston ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
