Dangerfield Runner-Up at 2011 Canadian Direct Insurance BC Mens Championship

Neil Dangerfield (Victoria, BC) lost 6-4 to Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) in the Final of the Canadian Direct Insurance BC Mens Championship, held February 7 - 13, 2011 in Vernon, British Columbia.

Dangerfield finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dangerfield defeated Tom Buchy (Kimberley, BC) 11-1, then went on to lose 7-6 against Cotter. Dangerfield lost 11-4 to Darren Heath (Vernon, BC) where Dangerfield responded with a 8-6 win over Sean Geall (New Westminster, BC). Dangerfield won 10-7 against Jason Clark (Victoria, BC), then won 9-5 against Aron Herrick (Vernon, BC) and 9-2 against Jeff Richard (Kelowna, BC). Dangerfield won 9-5 against Brent Pierce (New Westminster, BC), then won 8-5 against Brent Yamada (Kamloops, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Direct Insurance BC Mens Championship, Dangerfield take home 3.850 world rankings points. For week 23 of the event schedule, Dangerfield did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Dangerfield ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
