Martin won 8-2 against Brent Bawel (Calgary, AB), then won 11-8 against Randy Ferbey (St. Johns, NL) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Canada Cup of Curling, Martin take home 30.000 world rankings points along with the $19,000CDN prize, remaining in 1st place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 441.780 total points.
