McKee went on to lose 7-4 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Moscow, RUS). McKee responded with a 8-7 win over William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB). McKee won 7-4 against Murray Woodward (Ile des Chenes, MB), then won 6-5 against Switzerland's Claudio Pescia in their final qualifying round match.
With their runner-up finish at the Whites Drug Store Classic, McKee take home 14.400 world rankings points along with the $7,500CDN prize, moving up 33 spots the World Ranking Standings into 62nd place overall with 32.180 total points.
