Wayne Middaugh (Toronto, ON) lost 5-4 to Kevin Martin (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Cactus Pheasant Classic, held October 28 - 31, 2010 in Brooks, Alberta. To advance to the championship game, Middaugh won 7-3 over Kevin Koe (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2010 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta; and won 5-3 over Warren Hassall (Lloydminster, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2010 Cactus Pheasant Classic in Brooks, Alberta;

Middaugh finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Xiaoming Xu (Harbin, CHN) 6-3, then won 7-3 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB) and 7-3 against Glenn Howard (Coldwater, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Cactus Pheasant Classic, Middaugh take home 25.000 world rankings points along with the $14,000CDN prize, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 14th place overall with 106.724 total points. Middaugh ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 62.875 points earned so far this season.
