Reid finished 5-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Reid defeated Alex Smith (St. John's, NL) 5-4, then went on to lose 8-7 against Greg Richardson (Ottawa, ON). Reid responded with a 9-5 win over Simon Dupuis (Thurso, PQ). Reid won 7-5 against Pierre Charette (Gatineau, PQ), then won 6-5 against Bryan Cochrane (Ottawa, ON) and 7-5 against Michael Fournier (Montreal, PQ) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Challenge Casino Lac Leamy Championship title, Reid earned 36.000 world rankings points along with the $10,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 22nd place overall with 79.670 total points. Reid ranks 15th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 36.000 points earned so far this season.
